HeartSaver® CPR Class, Nashville
In the Heartsaver CPR AED live classroom based course, students will learn how to provide CPR to infants, children, and adults. Students will also be trained on how to operate an automated external defibrillator, also called AED Training. The course material also includes training on rescuing all ages from choking. The content is delivered to students by experienced American Heart Association instructors and follows the most current science based research. Students will learn the Heartsaver CPR and AED skills though watching live scenarios, hands on practice, and instructor led skills stations.

This CPR and AED training is for anyone NOT in the healthcare field, or planning to work in the healthcare field. This training is for non-healthcare or medical related individuals such as:

Course content and length:
The Heartsaver CPR AED class can last anywhere between 3 and 3.5 hours in length. Every class is different and depends on how many students are enrolled. The instructors here at CPR Nashville do not rush anyone. We want students to have fun learning the content taught in the Heartsaver CPR AED class. We also want all of our students to leave feeling confident in the skills they have learned.
Heartsaver CPR AED Course Content:
- Chest Compressions
- Rescue Breaths
- 1 and 2 rescuer Infant CPR
- 1 and 2 rescuer Child CPR
- 1 and 2 rescuer Adult CPR
- AED Training for infants, children, and adults
- Rescue of a choking victim
Students will be able to ask questions during their practice sessions with our instructors. Students will also be provided with plenty of hands on practice with our Defibtech AEDs and Laredol CPR manikins. Our equipment lets each student practice real life scenarios, the best way to learn!
CPR Nashville does not have a written test for the Heartsaver CPR AED class. There will be skills testing at the end of class to allow students to show their proficiency in CPR. After students have successfully passed their skills session, they will be awarded an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR certification card that is valid for 2 years.
Enrollment:
If you need to become certified in a CPR Class Nashville, and would like to take the Heartsaver CPR AED class, enrollment is the first step. At the bottom of this page you will see our class calendar. Locate the “Heartsaver CPR” link on the calendar. These are the dates that we offer the class. If you hover your mouse over the link on the calendar, you will see what time the class begins. If you do not see a class that works with your schedule, you can arrow forward to the next month. We also provide private group classes that can be arranged on the date and time that works best for your group.
Once you do find a Heartsaver CPR class that you would like to enroll in, click the link on the calendar. On the next page, add the Heartsaver CPR AED required manual to your cart if you do not already have one. Each student attending an American Heart Association class is required to have a manual. If you have your manual from the last time you attended, simply bring it with you to class. Now you are ready to complete the simple one page registration form. Once finished, click submit and you will be emailed your receipt and confirmation.
