Course content and length:
The first time BLS class (CPR Class, Nashville) lasts approximately 4 hours, and can vary depending on student enrollment. During this course students will practice learning a variety of skills needed to preform high quality CPR. Students will be able to practice learning the following skills with our top of the line equipment and manikins:
- Chest Compressions
- Rescue Breaths
- Use of a Bag Valve Mask
- 1 and 2 rescuer Infant CPR
- 1 and 2 rescuer Child CPR
- 1 and 2 rescuer Adult CPR
- AED Training for infants, children, and adults
- Choking
Students will have their training assisted by experienced American Heart Association instructors. Our instructors want each and every student to be successful in mastering the skills learned in a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class. Students will have opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback on their skills prior to testing. Once all of the training has been completed, students will be asked to perform the skills they have learned. Students will also complete a 25 question multiple choice test at the end of class. Upon successful completion of the CPR course skills testing and written test, students will be provided with their American Heart Association 2 year BLS for Healthcare Provider certification card.

To enroll in the first time BLS class with CPR Nashville, please view the calendar above to find a class that you are able to attend. We offer classes on weekdays, weekday evenings, and weekends. We also offer private sessions for groups. If you have a group that you would like to arrange a specific date and time for, please call us. Once you find a date and time that work, click the BLS Class link for that class. After clicking the BLS class link on the calendar, you will arrive on the final registration page. All students are required to have an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider manual for this course. This manual can be added on at check out on this final registration page, or purchased elsewhere.
After you have registered, you will be emailed enrollment confirmation along with directions to our Brentwood, Tennessee training site. Please bring your manual, wear comfortable clothing, and come ready to have FUN. There is no other requirement or prerequisite for this CPR class.
