1st Time BLS
You need a BLS for Healthcare Providers Card from the American Heart Association in order to satisfy an AHA CPR Class requirement for a medically related school program such as nursing, medical school, dental school, dental hygienist, etc.  This is also known as Basic Life Support CPR for infants, children and adults with AED training.
*Satisifies CPR Requirements for ALL school programs and employers.

 

BLS Renew
You need this course if you have been certified with a BLS Provider Card (also known as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or BCLS) from the American Heart Association in the past, but your card is going to expire soon. The BLS card is good for 2 years.

 

1st Time ACLS
You need Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for the Emergency Department, Operating Department, Paramedics, Telemetry, Critical and/or Acute Care Settings, etc. This is a ONE DAY ACLS class that includes the Megacode as a course requirement.
StressFree Class!

 

1st Time PALS
You need Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Emergency Department, Operating Department, PICU, NICU, Paramedics, etc. This is a ONE DAY PALS class that is hands-on. StressFree Class!

 

ACLS Renew
You have been certified with an ACLS Provider Card (also known as Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from the American Heart Association in the past, but your card is going to expire soon. If your card is expired, you will have to take the 1st Time ACLS class. The ACLS card is good for 2 years.

 

PALS Renew
You have been certified with a PALS Provider Card (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from the American Heart Association in the past, but your card is going to expire soon. If your card is expired, you will have to take the 1st Time PALS class. The PALS card is good for 2 years.

 

HeartSaver CPR
You are NOT a healthcare provider (such as a nurse or doctor), but you need basic CPR for infants, children, and adults with AED training. This course is American Heart Association approved. This class is for teachers, fitness trainers, coaches, life guards, daycare, general public, businesses, etc.

 

First Aid and CPR
You are NOT a healthcare provider and need First Aid for emergency situations such as broken bones, burns, strokes, wounds, bites, sprains, etc., and you also need CPR certification with AED training on infants, children, and adults.

Class Descriptions

Heartsaver CPR AED Class
If you need to become CPR certified and do NOT work in healthcare, the Heartsaver CPR AED class is the one you should attend. This class is for lifeguards, teachers, personal trainers, parents, civil workers, police officers, community members, corporate offices, babysitters, child care centers, and many more. Students will learn how to provide CPR to infants, children, and adults. Students will also learn how to operate an AED.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Class
The BLS Class is meant to be taken by those either working in the healthcare field or going to school to peruse a career in healthcare. This includes, but is not limited to nursing students, dental students, medical students, physical therapy students, respiratory therapy program students, nursing staff, physicians, dentists, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, anesthesiologists, paramedics, EMTs, and anyone else who has contact with patients in healthcare. The course covers infant, child, and adult CPR. Students will also learn how to operate and AED (automated external defibrillator), provide rescue breaths, and help a choking victim. This course does NOT include first aid training. This course is CPR class Nashville area.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Class
The ACLS class is specialized training for individuals working in high acuity departments of hospitals, surgery centers, air medical transport, ACLS ground patient transport, specialty dental offices, and many others. The training is an advanced continuation of basic life support and prepares healthcare providers to treat cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies. Nursing staff and physicians that work in the emergency department, intensive care units, operating rooms, outpatient surgery centers, and long term care facilities should be ACLS certified. Paramedics, oral surgeons, CRNAs, advanced practice nurses, telemetry nursing staff, cardiac cath lab staff, and anyone who desires a career in a high acuity level in healthcare should take an ACLS class. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Class
PALS classes are designed to prepare healthcare providers working with the pediatric population to treat respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiovascular emergencies. Paramedics, emergency department nurses and doctors, pediatric intensive care unit nurses and doctors, pediatricians, children’s hospital anesthesia staff, pediatric interventional radiology staff, children’s hospital and outpatient surgery center operating room staff, advanced pediatric dentist and oral surgeons, and any other healthcare provider working in a pediatric high acuity department.
